I was the Mario with the black and white outfit who was playing around last stock against your 4 stocks. Just wanted to say you're a real one, good games and I'm glad we could have fun too. Keep at it cause you've got potential. Much love.

2021.09.25 08:36 sitsandrolls "Productionizing" Full Stack Distributed Web Books/Resources

TL;DR I want to find books or resources on writing production ready web software that could theoretically scale to millions of requests and covers the *entire* system, am I insane and expecting too much?
I know variations of this has been answered on here, but after some searching I didn't quite find what I was looking for, but maybe I'm being too picky?
I just started my first dev job a few months ago and I'm struggling quite a bit with understanding how the "productionizing" decisions were made and how the implementation of it all fits together.
I want to find books or resources on "productionizing". I understand how containers, databases, message queues, proxy servers, HTTP, networking, systemd, linux, web servers, AWS, django, etc. all work individually (on the surface at least), and I can grasp them and play around with them as standalones with no issues. However, I don't understand how to tie them all together yet. I have a bunch of little holes in my knowledge while at this first job like user groups, build systems, deploying to the cloud, CI/CD, writing configs for apache or nginx, writing configs for systemd, container strategies, etc.
I didn't even know half of these things existed until a few months ago! And I'm hungry for more knowledge.
I want to learn more about how these design choices are made, and what are the trade-offs, what other options or tech are available? Something with implementation details would be awesome too, but I know that's a long shot.
Full stack open, github, and 500 lines or less are incredible. But, they aren't really helping me fill in the holes of "productionizing" (I hope that's a good term please correct me if it isn't).
Am I just being too demanding expecting to find even a few of these topics consolidated in one place? Do I need to read about these individually then just spend time trying to glue them all together? How did you guys learn about these topics?

2021.09.25 08:36 sellystew People don’t come to my cafe??

So I just started yesterday. I’m playing on the Switch. I’ve met a lot of people, I’ve got a full 10/10 animals at the cafe, and a variety of food in the display case. I’ve played through multiple days, and no one comes to the cafe at all. I thought maybe I was missing something, but when I did the construction cats quest and sent them to the cafe I immediately made money from them buying my bagels. I have the spreadsheet that says who comes what days and their favorite foods. I spent all of Saturday sitting in my cafe watching and waiting, and I had everybody’s favorite in the display case that can come Saturday, but still none of them showed up. Am I doing something wrong or is it bugged?

2021.09.25 08:36 Due_Performance_2714 Anyone willling to give an actual “how to” on farming the countess?

Hey guys! New to D2 and I keep hearing the countess is perfect for farming runes early on. The problem I keep coming to is that apparently no one has ever decided to write or post an actual step by step guide on what you do exactly to “farm”. I know it’s best done on single player, you speed run the forgotten tower, kill her, grab the runes, and then…..what? Any help on how to repeat the actual farming process is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

2021.09.25 08:36 AirFriedFries Players would benefit from win/loss statistics. SG should make pvp data public

If people know which heroes are strong they can save molagora and summoning materials.
It would also force the balance team to do better. No one wants to face a 60% win rate first pick hero so the devs would try harder.
Players would be able to play the game better. We can see which heroes counter which instead of relying on intuition and anecdotes.
This is possible and maybe even easy for SG. We have 4,500 matches from streamers alone https://www.epic7stats.com/hero/Fallen%20Cecilia They make around less than 0.1% of e7 player base. We can easily reach millions of match an in entire season. The data can be meaningful. SG already has data on hunts, expos, which heroes do well in guild war, and more.

Drawn by Edward McCleary, 1965. He said that he saw this creature kill his friends, in 20 foot deep water. He said the neck was between 10 to 12 feet long, and it was 'greenish brown'.
